When the United States invaded Iraq, an image kept echoing in my mind: a young Iraqi boy hiding in a corner, looking in horror at the invaders in front of him. The toddler's mother was tragically killed in the war, leaving her only child.

War displaces people and deprives nations of human rights and dignity. For many years, people cursed war and longed for peace.

Peace is the common aspiration of people all over the world. Peace is the dream of people's hearts, and people laugh sweetly in their dreams; Peace is the gentle song of spring, lingering in every corner of the world; Peace is the bright smiling faces of children, blooming in every young heart.

It is true that the world is not peaceful, and war, crime, and terror have tried to turn the world into hell again and again. But peace, this god of justice has trampled evil under his feet again and again, and turned the world into heaven again and again.

We don't want to wake up to the roar of guns, we don't want to march in the smoke of gunpowder, we can't sink in pessimism and despair. Peace should take root in every young heart and condense in every mature thought, and peace should be the eternal theme that accompanies human progress.
