If the oil pan catches fire while frying food, the temperature in the pan is very high and the amount of oil is large, and the fire is quite violent. In this case, do not pour water into the pot, let alone overturn the oil pot, otherwise it will not only cause scalds, but also cause a bigger fire. Don't remove the pan either, so that the wind doesn't add fuel to the fire.

The correct way is to turn off the gas switch (or extinguish the fire with water), cover the pot, cover the pot with a damp cloth or a thousand towels, etc., 30 minutes after the fire is extinguished, and wait for the oil to cool down before taking it away, so as not to catch fire again.
