Physics rodent extermination also pays attention to certain science and technology, such as placing rat cages (clips) at the mouth of the rat hole, which should be at a certain distance from the rat hole, and sometimes use some camouflage to improve the killing rate; The bait on the rat cage should be fresh and should be a favorite food for rats. Generally, the rats are not easy to basket on the first night, because there is a "new reaction", and the basketing rate will increase after two or three days.

3. Chemical rodent extermination: also known as drug rodent extermination, it is the most widely used and effective rodent extermination method. Drug rodent control can be divided into intestinal poison rodent extermination and fumigation rodent extermination.

The intestinal rodenticide used as rodent control is mainly organic compounds, followed by inorganic compounds and wild plants and their extracts.

4. Biological rodent extermination method: including two aspects: one is the use of natural enemies to exterminate rats, there are many natural enemies of rodents, mainly carnivorous small beasts such as weasels, wild cats, domestic cats, foxes, etc., birds of prey such as eagles, owls, etc., as well as snakes.

5. Ecological rodent extermination: that is, through improving the environment, including rodent-proof buildings, cutting off rat food, farmland transformation, doing a good job in indoor and outdoor environmental sanitation, and removing rodent hiding places, etc., that is, controlling, transforming, and destroying the living environment and conditions conducive to the survival of rodents, so that rodents cannot survive and reproduce in those places. Ecological rodent control is an important part of comprehensive rodent control.
