Toilet cleaners mainly rely on acid to achieve decontamination and sterilization, of which hydrochloric acid is the most commonly used acid in toilet cleaners, and hydrochloric acid has a strong pungent odor, in order to cover up this unpleasant smell, most products are added with flavors and other substances. However, the pungent smell of hydrochloric acid is difficult to cover, because hydrochloric acid is very corrosive, and ordinary flavors will be decomposed by hydrochloric acid and lose its effect. Therefore, toilet cleaners have high requirements for flavors, and most of the flavors used for toilet cleaners in China are imported from abroad.

During the trial, there were two products with a strong pungent smell, and I wanted to run out of the bathroom immediately after brushing the toilet. There are three products with a more pronounced fragrance, and the fragrance in the bathroom after brushing the toilet is overflowing: White Cat Toilet Cleaner, Qiwei Jie Procter & Gamble Toilet Liquid, and Product No. 5 (this product has a very low acid content, so it is replaced by a number here). The remaining seven products do not have obvious pungent odors, but they also do not have obvious fragrances, they are Floating Wave Toilet Cleaner, Polaroid Economical Toilet Cleaner, Blue Moon Toilet Cleaner, Green Umbrella Toilet Cleaner, etc. (the remaining 3 are omitted here because they are too corrosive or have too low acid content).
