Under normal circumstances, the standard practice is to wait until the waterproof layer is completely dry, and then start to do the closed water test, and wait until the closed water test is passed before attaching the tiles.

Now that the tile has been pasted, then because the tile itself contains a certain water absorption, so it is necessary to appropriately extend the time of closed water, the following is still a detailed operation method:

1. After the waterproof construction is completed, the closed water test can be done after 24 hours;

2. Temporarily block the floor drain and the perimeter of the pipeline mouth;

3. Build a 20CM high retaining wall at the door;

4. Start to store water, with a depth of 5-20 cm, and mark the water level;

5. Water storage time 48 72 hours;

6. After the water is closed on the first day, see if the water level has dropped significantly, if so, please check whether there is leakage around the roof and pipes downstairs in time, if not, continue to close the water;

7. On the third day, the water is closed, and the downstairs ceiling and roof pipes are fully inspected.

8. Carry out the next process after being fully qualified.

In the closed water test, the water level is a few centimeters higher than the highest point of the floor tiles, and after two or three days, check whether there is water seepage downstairs.

The closed water test, basically according to the experience of the workers, is generally waterproof very well.
