    This should be unreasonable. After all, this is going to live for a long time, so it's better to go to the developer to understand the situation and see if it can be solved.

    Wooden planks are not soundproofed, and if wooden planks are used for partition walls in living rooms and other rooms, it is unreasonable and easy to crosstalk.

    Generally, the load-bearing wall of the house is made of steel disc concrete or solid brick structure, which has a good sound insulation effect. The problem is that the light hollow brick or gray plastic cardboard used in the partition wall has only -25dB -30dB sound insulation characteristics.

    Most home theater rooms have one or two walls that look like this. Outside of the windows and doors, this is undoubtedly where the sound leaks are most severe. If no action is taken, the air vibration in the middle of the hollow brick can cause the wall to resonate, which is very detrimental to the sound quality.

    There are two ways to solve this problem. One is to tear down the original wall and rebuild a soundproof wall; The second is to retain the original wall and add a soundproof wall.

    For the wall of the elevator shaft, the specification has two requirements:

    1.Fire performance: In GB50045-95 (2005 edition) "Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings" table of combustion performance and fire resistance limit of building components, there are clear provisions: it should be a non-combustible body with a fire resistance limit of not less than hours;

    2.Sound insulation and vibration reduction requirements: In the GB50096-2011 "Residential Design Code", it is stipulated that the elevator should not be arranged next to the bedroom. When the elevator has to be arranged next to the bedroom that is also the living room, structural measures such as sound insulation and vibration reduction should be taken.

    1.What exactly is the material of the wall (you say it's a wooden board, but you can't see it in the photo) - determines the fire performance of the wall;

    2.The specific practice and construction of the wall - it has an impact on the fire performance of the wall;

    3.whether the bedroom is arranged next to the bedroom or the bedroom that also serves as a living room, and if so, whether structural measures have been taken to insulate and reduce vibrations;

    Hope it helps. Best wishes.

    Happy housewarming! Note: For the fire performance of walls of various materials and different practices, please refer to Table A "Combustion Performance and Fire Resistance Limit of Various Building Components" in Appendix A of GB50045-95 (2005 Edition).

If it is not a load-bearing wall, it does not affect the structure of the house, and it can generally be removed. It is recommended to find a professional who understands the structure of the building and give constructive suggestions.

You can do some over-modeling on the beams and columns, and design it to make it look like it is intentionally made like this, and it looks good, for example, in the picture below, there is a large lintel and a wall column in the middle of the living room, so that the design is completely changed.
