Steps to plant okra:

Sowing seeds or seedlings.

Buy the seeds, soak them in water overnight to increase the germination rate, and then bury the seeds directly into the soil, only 3 seeds can be placed in a pot with a diameter of about one foot, and after it germinates and grows into 6 leaves, transplant the most robust plant to cultivate.

To buy seedlings, you should buy healthy vegetable seedlings that are free of diseases and pests. Because okra is still tall at the end, even if it is a dwarf species, only one plant can be planted in a pot with a diameter of one foot.

Bear fruit. The leaf axils of each section of okra will flower and bear fruit.

Harvest. The pods are best picked when they are about 6-8 cm, which is usually 3-5 days after flowering. The best time for picking is in the morning, and when picking, the cutting edge should be flat and not broken and torn by hand, so it is recommended to use scissors to cut it.

The pot is bigger, the soil is deeper, the fat is full, the sun is better, the ventilation is better, haha, it is estimated that there will be fewer insects planted on the balcony than in the ground, as long as you pay attention to a few maintenance steps, you can have a good yield.

Last year, I planted one in a 15-centimeter clay pot, and a total of 5 fruits were produced.

Steps to plant okra on the balcony.

The first step: in March and April, the temperature rises, the spring flowers bloom, buy back okra seedlings at this time, soak the seeds for 12 hours and put them under 25-35 to promote germination, and take out the prepared pot after the seeds "break the mouth", first add a layer of pot bottom stone in the pot, and then spread a layer of culture soil, about six points full. When the seedlings are depotted, do not break up the root tray, and plant the root tray directly in the culture soil containing base fertilizer.

Step 2: Pile the soil evenly around the root plate until it is nine minutes full. Note that the distance between the two seedlings should be within the range of 30-50cm, so only two seeds can be planted in a 45cm pot.

Step 3: Press the soil around the plant to stabilize it, then water until excess water escapes through the holes in the bottom of the pot.

Step 4: After completing the first three steps, wait patiently for 30-40 days, okra will be able to bloom beautiful and lovely flowers, which will become a beautiful scenery on the balcony of the home. The okra can be harvested in five or six days after it blooms, and you can eat the delicious okra you have grown!
