How to build a 3D model of a solid wood carving model drawn by CAD

Step 1: Save the CAD in DWG format.

And make a note of where the file is saved.

Step 2: Set the units before importing 3DMAX and select the desired unit format.

Step 3: Click on the file in the top view, then click Import, then select the format as DWG, and find the location of the file saved before CAD and click OK.

Step 4: After the import is successful, you can apply the hook curve or monolithic to model.

Note: If the floor plan drawn by CAD is used, you must break it up and then save it to DWG, import it according to the above steps, otherwise you can't see the drawn graphic lines after importing, or install a plug-in in 3DMAX that supports graphics, so that you can directly import the plane wireframe drawn by CAD without scattering.

It is recommended that you do so. Another one uses the Sketch Master software. 1. Open Sketch Master, import this file, and use the Pencil Tool to draw this shape.

Simple appearance. 2 Open 3D, import this sketch master file, then, on top, modify, fine-tune, adjust the lighting, render.

If you import the diagram directly into 3D, that's fine. When you weld, be careful. Squeeze out something, be patient.
