What was the kitchen called before the Qing Dynasty

There are generally three theories about the name of the ancient kitchen:

One. Kitchen, kitchen also. According to the idiom "Ku Ding Xie Niu", it can be seen that Ku Ding means cook, so Ku Wu means kitchen.

Two. In ancient times, poor families only cooked in the hall and did not have a special kitchen, so they only called the stove "Tangqian", and the kitchen of the wealthy family was called "Juzaojun", and in the military camp, it was called "Hufang".

Three. In ancient times, people mostly set up the kitchen for food in the east of the main hall, so it was also called "East Kitchen". Cao Zhi, a talented son of the Three Kingdoms period, said in the poem "When the Great Disaster Comes":

The days are short, but there is more than happiness, and it is to set up a jade bottle to run an east kitchen". Not only was the residence arranged in this way when he was alive, but the burial chamber after death was also designed, and even the kitchen in the ancestral hall dedicated to the deceased was located on the east wall.
