It's the peak time for dining, and there are a lot of people in the fast food restaurant. My mom went in and lined up to order, and my dad and brother and I waited at the door. Obviously, we had already placed an order by ourselves, but my mother waited in line for almost half an hour and still didn't get the meal. I couldn't hold back, I wanted to go in and see what was going on.

Oh, my God! There were a lot of people arguing in the store! An eldest lady clamored for a refund, two older brothers kept blaming the restaurant staff, and an uncle was angrily making a complaint call, while the restaurant staff kept explaining and apologizing.

I became more and more curious, so I approached my mother, listened carefully, and understood the general situation: there was a special promotion today, and many customers placed orders online early, because of the deviation of the system, the original food was sold out when the customer came to the restaurant to pick up the meal. We can exchange food products for customers with higher value. Of course, this requires communicating with the customer and obtaining their consent.

If the customer has a strong desire to request a refund, we should help coordinate it. If the system cannot achieve real-time refund, it is necessary to explain the reason to the customer, and you can give a small gift or food voucher to show your sincerity and seek the customer's understanding.

In one case, if the customer is not willing to exchange other food items and does not want to get a refund, and insists on buying the pre-ordered food, we can give him a pickup card, tell him what period he can use the pickup card to pick up the food, and give the customer some extra gifts or food vouchers to apologize.

Thinking about it, my mother had already got the meal we ordered and dragged me out. In the midst of the noise, I actually took care of myself as a "restaurant manager".
