1. The clock can be placed or hung on the Suzaku side of the house (i.e., the south), because the Suzaku side is the front, and the front belongs to the movers. The color of the bell should be red, purple, and orange, and the shape is often octagonal for auspiciousness, because this direction belongs to fire.

2. The clock can be placed or hung in the Qinglong side (i.e. east) and southeast of the residence, because the Qinglong side is auspicious, so the left side of the living room is also suitable for placing the clock. As for the color of the bell, it should be mainly green and cyan, and the shape should be square for auspiciousness, because these two directions belong to wood.

3. Do not place or hang the clock on the white tiger side of the house (i.e. the west), because the white tiger side is the so-called fierce side of traditional feng shui, so the right side of the house should not be placed on the clock. However, it can be placed or hung in the northwest of the house, and the color of the bell should be mainly white and gold, and the shape should be round for auspiciousness, because this direction belongs to gold.

4. Do not place or hang the clock in the Xuanwu side (i.e., the north), because the Xuanwu side is the rear, and it should be quiet and not moving.

5. The clock should not be hung above the sofa. Otherwise, people who sit here often are prone to restlessness.

6. Place or hang the clock in the bedroom, which is the same as in the residence, but the clock should not be hung at the head of the bed.

After the position of the clock is determined, the position of other clocks should be convenient and practical, and they can be placed nearby within the line of sight.
