A: The College of Furniture and Art Design of the University of Forestry and Technology was established in December 2009. In 2009, there were 76 employees in the college, including 18 teachers with senior titles such as professors and associate professors.

At present, the college has two doctoral degree programs in the national key disciplines "Wood Science and Technology" (furniture and wood products technology) and "Furniture and Interior Design Engineering", and two master's degree programs in "Design Arts" and "Furniture and Interior Design Engineering", with nearly 200 doctoral and master's students. The college offers four undergraduate majors: "Product Design", "Environmental Design", "Visual Communication Design" and "Industrial Design", among which "Industrial Design" was approved by the Ministry of Education as a national characteristic major in 2008. There are 1,820 undergraduate students.

Needless to say, as for the specialty in Area A, the strength is Beijing Forestry University (211, a national key discipline of the major), Nanjing Forestry University (a national key discipline), Central South University of Forestry and Technology (a national key discipline in some provinces and cities, a national key discipline).
