How to adjust a hinged security door

1. Loosen the big hexagon screw in the middle first, and then loosen the small hexagon screw in the inside. If there is an abnormal sound, it means that the door leaf and the door frame are too close, and the door leaf needs to be pushed outward, so the 4 small screws should be slid in the direction of the door leaf. All screws are fixed, of course, tightened, clockwise.

Counterclockwise is only related to the tightness of the screws.

2. Open the door, and use a wooden block under the corner of the door to support the door. Adjust the hinges underneath.

The above ones don't need to be moved. Loosen the 4 small screws with the hexagon socket and use a wrench.

Loosen the large nut. In the middle of the large nut is an eccentric screw. With a slotted driver, you can adjust the crotch distance of the hinge. Then lock the 4 small screws and close the door. Repeat a few times to feel the right fit, then lock the middle nut and tighten all the screws further.

3. Generally use an inner hexagon.

The screwdriver unscrews the two sets of hinges on the door leaf and squeezes it above the door leaf, so that the gap is reduced and then tightened, which can be alleviated, and the frame is a hinge shaft and the door frame; Remove the security door, remove the hinges, and chisel off a layer of wood (the thickness needs to refer to the number of widening of the door gap). Reattach the hinges. Secure the security door.

The security door has been in use for 10 years, and recently it has been rattling when it opens and closes. If you look closely, you can see that the outside of the door is sagging and squeezing to the side of the shaft. The paint on the lower end of the door frame has been worn off a bit.

Further detection method: open the door, put a piece of paper in the crack of the door, close the door to a certain angle of the paper is clamped and cannot be drawn. Confirm the bump here).

When you open the door, you will see a total of 4 hinges, and the hinges look like this:

1.Open the door and use wooden blocks under the corners of the door. Adjust the lower two hinges, and the top 2 in my case don't need to move.

2.Loosen the 4 small screws with the hexagon socket and loosen the large nut with a wrench. It turns out that in the middle of the large nut is an eccentric screw. Gently turn with a slotted driver to adjust the crotch opening distance of the hinge (what I need is to push the lower hinge of the door outward).

3.Then lock the 4 small screws and close the door. When it fits, lock the middle nut and tighten all the screws further.
