What should be paid attention to when using JCDecaux bathroom waterproof materials?

Toilet waterproofing practices:

1. Ground treatment.

Be sure to level the ground before applying waterproofing. Screed construction method: if there are voids, cracks and unequal defects on the base surface, repair and smooth with cement mortar.

The base surface must be firm, flat, clean, free of dust, greasy, wax, release agent, etc., and other debris substances. The construction of the waterproof layer can only be carried out after the screed is dry, and the construction should be fireproof and waterproof during the construction. After the waterproof layer is completed, the finished product should be protected, and no one should walk around.

2. Wall treatment.

About 300mm high waterproof paint should be used for wall treatment to prevent water from penetrating the wall and returning moisture.

The painting height between the wall and the floor (plane and façade) of the bathroom should be greater than 100mm.

If there is a shower in the bathroom, the waterproof height of the room is not less than 1800mm.

If there is a bathtub, the waterproof height of the wall adjacent to the bathtub should be 300mm higher than the bathtub.

The waterproof height of the bathtub is not less than 800mm.

The waterproof height of the squatting pit should exceed the ground of the squatting platform by 400mm.

For the light wall of the bathroom renovation and the self-built light wall, it is recommended that the waterproof height should be at the top.

3. Do a closed water test.

After the waterproofing construction is completed, the water storage test is carried out. Block all the drains in the bathroom, build a water barrier about 200mm high at the door, and then pour about 20mm 30mm deep water into the bathroom, and check whether there is leakage on the surrounding walls and the ground after 24 hours, the waterproof experiment is the key to ensure the quality of the bathroom waterproof project, and it must be done. If there is no leakage after more than 24 hours, it is considered qualified.

If water leakage is found, the water storage test should be stopped immediately, the waterproof layer should be re-improved, and the water storage test should be carried out after the treatment is qualified.
