The situation in China is basically that science and engineering are very miscellaneous, and there are a lot of related courses, but it doesn't feel very systematic. I haven't been to art, but it should be about the same, and the university mainly relies on my own learning. The school offers more of an opportunity.

Famous ones in China include: Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts (focusing on art), Beijing Institute of Technology, Wuhan Institute of Technology, Jiangnan University, Hunan University.

Industrial design can be designed as long as it is related to industry. Including furniture, of course.

Some schools of industrial design are art and must be admitted through the art college entrance examination, some schools are admitted through the special student examination, and some are directly enrolled through the college entrance examination.

Industrial design is divided into two categories: art and science and engineering. You can see the difference in the name.

The strongest art category is the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, and the industrial design of the eight major art academies is very strong. Then there is Jiangnan University (the school is not well-known, but it has a strong industrial design, and it is the first to open industrial design in China).

Science and engineering, Jiangnan University has science and engineering enrollment. Beihang also has it. The industrial design of Beihang University is a new major, which was opened in 99. In recent years, the upward trend has been quite strong.

You can learn industrial design, in short, industrial design is mainly to study the appearance design of industrial products, such as home appliances, electronic products, furniture, vehicles, mechanical products, etc. Of course, you can also engage in toy design.

In most schools, industrial design majors are enrolled in the sciences, generally in the School of Mechanical Engineering. It may also be in the College of Art and Design, both arts and sciences. Students who take the liberal arts examination basically need to take the art examination.

Some art and design colleges, the major is not called industrial design, it is called product modeling design, in fact, it is the same.

If you want to read design, it is recommended not to study in colleges and universities in the north, the social environment is not good, it is mainly heavy industry, there is no demand for industrial design, basically it is an industrial design company. 60% of China's industrial design companies are in Guangdong, 20% in East China, 15% in Beijing, and 5% in other regions.
