How to seal the toilet well?

There are two main aspects to pay attention to in the sealing of the toilet:

1. The toilet drain and the toilet sewer pipe reserved for the floor slab should be sealed, and the toilet drain should be covered with a sealing gasket, and the sealing gasket and the sewer pipe should be in contact without gaps!

2. The contact position between the toilet base and the ground finishing layer should be sealed, and the contact part is generally sealed!

Causes of a leaky toilet.

Inferior material: Some manufacturers blindly reduce production costs, and choose inferior materials to cause cracking at the outlet of the inlet valve and the inlet pipe itself during injection molding, resulting in sealing failure, and the water in the water tank flows into the toilet through the overflow pipe of the drain valve"Long flowing water"。

When the water submerges the float (or floating bucket), the inlet valve still cannot be closed, so that the water continues to flow into the water tank, and finally flows into the toilet from the overflow pipe to cause water leakage. This phenomenon is especially noticeable when the tap water pressure is high.

Improper design: the mechanism of the water tank accessories interferes with the operation and leads to water leakage. For example, when the water tank is discharged, the float and the float rod will affect the normal reset of the flap and cause water leakage, see Figure B.

In addition, the float rod is too long, and the float is too large, which causes friction between the water tank wall, affects the free lifting of the float, and leads to seal failure and water leakage.

The differential pressure inlet valve is not equipped with a filter screen, and the impurities in the water are easy to block the small hole of the sealing ring, resulting in the inlet valve not being closed and the seal failing.

The sealing bonnet of the drain valve is not tightly matched with the sealing surface of the valve body, resulting in water leakage. There are two types of sealing valve cover and valve body sealing surface: wired contact sealing and surface contact (flat or curved) sealing. Most of the traditional flap seal bonnets are line contact seals.

The connections of the drain valve are not tightly sealed. Due to the loose sealing of the joint, the water of the non-disposable formed drain valve flows into the toilet through the overflow pipe through the interface gap under the action of water pressure, resulting in water leakage.

Solution. The selection of materials should comply with the provisions of the relevant materials in the toilet low water tank accessories standard.

The magnitude of the buoyancy of the float (or float barrel) should be calculated theoretically, at least under pressure, when the float is submerged 3 4 to ensure its sealing.

Due to the different sizes of the low water tank of the toilet, it is necessary to fully consider the free operation of each mechanism after its installation when designing the water tank accessories, so as not to interfere with each other.

The inlet valve is equipped with a filter.

The material of the drain valve cover should be appropriate, the production should be fine, and the protection during packaging and transportation should be strengthened to avoid deformation.

The drain valve body can be formed at one time, and if it cannot be formed at one time, it is best to use the structural form of thread and water-resistant binder assembly at each connection; The lifting inlet valve should have at least double sealing rings to ensure its sealing performance.
