Kittens need to be stimulated to defecate. Use a soft cloth, cotton ball, or facial tissue dipped in warm water to imitate the licking action of the mother cat and gently wipe the kitten's bowel movements, most of the time the kitten will urinate first and then poop. This should be done every time after feeding, and kittens should urinate every time.

Stool may not be present every time, but if there is, keep a record of the amount and texture of the stool passed each time (normal stool should be toothpaste-shaped, mustard-like yellowish-green). Be sure to stimulate the kitten's bowel movements to avoid constipation. (If possible, it can be stimulated to have a bowel movement before feeding, and again 15 minutes after feeding).

Something that stimulates bowel movements should be insisted on until the kitten is 3 to 4 weeks old, and then you can let it learn to use the litter box. At first they will not know the purpose of the litter box, you can stimulate them to defecate on the top of the pot, and when they see that they are starting to defecate, put it in the basin and let the feces drain in the litter box. Most of the time kittens naturally experience it and learn to use cat litter on their own.

After 15 minutes of each feeding, put the kitten in the sandbox and remind it to go to the toilet. Start with a litter box that should not be more than an inch tall (to make it easier for kittens to get in and out. Clumping cat litter should not be used because kittens will eat indiscriminately, and clumping cat litter contains cement-like ingredients that can clog their intestines and cause big problems if eaten.

Before the kitten learns to use a litter box, it is best to raise the kitten on the floor that is easy to clean. If you find that kittens always go to the toilet in a fixed place, put a small pot of cat litter on top after washing it well and removing the smell, this may speed up the training progress, as they are used to going to the toilet in that place, and cat litter triggers their nature. Once they are used to using the small litter box, you can slowly move it to the location of the larger litter box you want them to use and place it in the larger pot.

If the kitten makes a mistake and goes to the toilet outside the litter box, bury its poop in the litter box and remind it that this is the toilet. At the beginning of training, you can put a newspaper on the place where the kitten moves, just in case.

You can get a cat litter box, and the cat will go to the toilet on its own.

However, the rim of the pot should not be too high, and it should be easy for the kitten to climb into it on its own.
