How to grow balcony peppers:
Step 1: Preparation of materials.
Materials required: seeds, pond mud, peat soil, garden soil, sand, cultivation containers, gardening shovels, pruning knives, water.
1. Soil: the ratio of nutrient soil before potting can be used pond mud: peat soil = 1:1; After potting, you can choose garden soil or peat and sand in a certain proportion.
2. Container: Generally, the height should be 10-15cm, and the size can be selected according to the needs of their own planting, and the planting density of a single plant is 10-15cm.
Step 2: Sow seeds and raise seedlings.
1. You can sow seeds directly, or soak the purchased pepper seeds in warm water at 50-55 for 20 minutes.
2. Before sowing, the prepared nutrient soil is loaded into the pot, 3-4cm away from the edge of the pot, and watered thoroughly, and the soil can be slightly dry to sow 1-2 rapeseed at intervals of 10-12cm, and cover 1cm of fine soil after sowing.
Step 3: Put into potting.
1. When the seedlings grow to 2 true leaves, they can be potted.
2. Before entering the pot, use tiles to build a "human" shape in the permeable hole at the bottom of the pot, add pebbles, and then add nutrient soil to make the pot soil 2cm lower than the mouth of the pot, and dig a 5-7cm square hole.
3. Use a gardening shovel to dig out seedlings about 5cm around the root system of the original potted plant. Plant the seedlings with mounds in the pots that have been prepared.
4. Watering until there is water leakage at the bottom of the pot.
5. After entering the pot, place it in a cool place indoors to control transpiration, and then put it on the balcony after the seedlings are slowed down.
Step 4: Daily management.
1. Chili peppers like warmth, afraid of frost and avoid high temperatures.
2. Rinse water every day or every other day.
3. Add 5-10g compound fertilizer to each plant every 15 days after potting.
4. The light requirements are not strict, but the lack of light will delay the fruiting period and reduce the fruiting rate.
5. There is basically no need for pruning during the growth period.
Balcony peppers must be more ventilated. Seeing more sunlight can produce more peppers.
Planting Chaotian pepper on the balcony at home is also very good in the pot, planting a few, even if you give it away, the family can't finish it. The harvest was exceptional, especially in late summer and early autumn.
There are many reasons, 1 lack of water, 2 too much water, 3 too close or too much fertilizer, 4 not ventilated, 5 insufficient light or sunburn to the roots, 6 may be injured when moving.
