Will the panel furniture of solid wood particle board change color after a long time?

No, it won't. Its surface is veneered, some are solid veneer, some are stickers, and some are PVC.

Solid wood particle board is a wood-based panel made of wood or other lignocellulosic materials, which is glued under heat and pressure after applying adhesive. The principle is the same as that of MDF.

Advantages: (1) The inside of the solid wood particle board is a granular structure of cross and staggered structure. Therefore, the nail holding force is good, and round nails and screws can be nailed. These machinability properties are significantly better than MDF.

2) The density of solid wood particle board is higher, the wood fiber particles in the board are larger, and the essence of natural wood is more retained, and the content of solid wood particle board is generally less than 5% in the use of adhesive, which is more environmentally friendly.

3) The solid wood particle board has small warping and deformation, stable size, high strength, good stiffness, and is not easy to bend when hanging heavy clothes. At present, the wood-based panels used in the European furniture market are mainly solid wood particle boards.

Disadvantages: The flatness of solid wood particle board is not as good as that of MDF, and it is more difficult to do curvature and modeling. At present, in the European market, for the sake of environmental protection, it is basically based on solid wood particle board, and most of the domestic manufacturers also use solid wood particle board as the base material of the cabinet.

In fact, in a set of furniture it is better if both are used. The back board is made of MDF, and the laminate is made of solid wood particle board, which can not only take advantage of the good flatness of the MDF, but also make use of the environmental protection of the solid wood particle board, which can maximize the creation of an environmentally friendly living environment.

The surface of the panel furniture with solid wood particle board is veneered, some are pasted with solid veneer, some are stickers, and some are PVC. White furniture will turn yellow after a long time because titanium dioxide absorbs ultraviolet rays, and white furniture should be acceptable if it is used in the dark.

All furniture discoloration, except for the underlying paint may react with the chemicals of the board, its discoloration is all due to the yellowing of the paint after absorbing ultraviolet rays, especially the PU paint with TDI curing agent.

There are a few questions to confirm to ask if the furniture will change color:

1. How many years do you plan to use the furniture? 10 years? 50 years? Passing it on to children and grandchildren?

2. You need to ask what kind of paint the furniture seller uses. For panel furniture, it is recommended to choose products with UV coating on rollers, which are less likely to turn yellow.

3. What is lamination? Is the color veneered or painted? Most of the ones with big brown eye effect or good beautification effect or artistic effect are oak or ash veneers, which I prefer.

My own furniture is custom-made, all solid wood, said to be oak, in fact, it is water melon wood, okay, and then I got my own paint, all ester solvents, and I can rest assured that I make my own paint.

One more thing: solid wood particle board = particleboard, will use glue, glue containing aldehyde. Domestic qualified glue, its aldehyde is not qualified, as far as I know.

Clothes will also change color after a long time, furniture will change color for a long time, and solid wood should be maintained frequently.
