Stainless steel and aluminum commonly used on wooden doors are generally T-shaped, U-shaped and flat three, generally in the home building materials market specializing in metal building materials or decorative materials can be bought, in some other hardware and building materials stores can also be bought, but the type and quality are usually worse than the businesses in the home market. Because I don't know which one the landlord needs, I talk about it separately.

    1. T-shaped aluminum strip is the most common, first use vernier caliper to measure the width of the T-shaped barb part during installation, and then use a small manual trimming machine or a milling machine to mill the groove where the aluminum strip is to be installed on the wooden door, the groove depth is slightly longer than the barb length of about 1mm, and the width is less than the barb width. Apply a lot of glue in the tank, and the amount of glue should be a very small amount of spillage after putting the aluminum strip in. Use a hacksaw to see the length of the aluminum strip to the length you want, pay attention to pick a straight section as much as possible, trim the edge with a file, then put the aluminum strip into the groove, gently smash it with a rubber hammer, wipe it off with gasoline, and then press the weight and let it stand for 2 hours.

If the door is painted and the paint surface is ready, you can't use gasoline. If you only have a strong glue, then you must apply less and not let the strong glue spill out. You can also use latex or puzzle glue instead, wipe the glue and put the weight for 6 hours, but the effect is not as good as the strong glue.

It is still not recommended to inlay aluminum strips on the painted surface after it is done.

    2. U-shaped and flat aluminum strips: these two principles are similar to T-shaped aluminum strips, except that the slotting width should be equal to or slightly larger than the aluminum strips, and the depth should be equal to the thickness of the aluminum materials. The U-shaped strip should be filled with a wooden square of the same size as the U-shaped inner mouth and fixed with strong glue.

Apply vigorously on both sides, let it dry for a while and then stick it. Finally, use a rubber hammer to smash it tightly, and when smashing, the upper side should be padded with a wooden square with shock-absorbing protection to prevent damage to the surface.

Generally, if you do it yourself at home, you can only do this, but if you don't have a certain amount of carpentry skills, it is still a bit difficult.
