Sofas are a bulk consumer product in furniture products, and they are large and wide-ranging. This standard is a revision of the QB standard, and the main changes compared with the original standard are as follows:

    1. Product classification: This standard classifies products according to seat elastic materials, covering fabrics and use functions.

    2. Main size requirements: In addition to retaining the front width and seat depth in the main dimensions of the product, this standard has made corresponding adjustments and changes to the dimensions of the front and back height, and canceled the size regulations of the handrail height and the requirements for the deviation of the external dimensions.

    3. Material requirements:The materials used on the appearance of the product should be consistent with the label; ⑵.

The internal materials of the product should be free of bark; ⑶.The moisture content of wood should not be higher than the average annual equilibrium moisture content of wood in the area where the product is located, which was originally stipulated to be +1%. In the Appendix B (normative appendix) of the standard, the balanced moisture content value of wood in various regions of China is added as the basis for product evaluation.

.For textile fabrics, leather and artificial leather, a requirement of Colour Fastness to Dry Rubbing has been added to the Colour Fastness to Dry Rubbing Grade 4.

    4. Mechanical property requirements: The mechanical property test of this standard shall be based on the grading requirements for the durability of the unified seat back (the original standard stipulates the durability requirements according to the elastic type of the sofa), that is, the durability shall pass: 60,000 times for grade A; 40,000 for B and 20,000 for C.

The back looseness, armrest looseness and compression were adjusted accordingly.

    5. Flame retardant requirements: take into account the development trend of the product to reduce the harm to personal life.

    6. Evaluation of inspection results: product inspection is divided into type inspection and factory inspection. The inspection results are rated as: excellent products (top products), first-class products (B-grade products), qualified products (C-grade products) and unqualified products.
