F&B outlets need to maintain costs, and generally adopt a "high-priced" business model.

According to the common sense of operation in the catering industry, it is appropriate for the rent of the store to account for less than 15% of the revenue. At present, the rent of major airport stores accounts for about 20% of revenue, and the average rent of airport restaurants is about three times that of shopping malls in the city where the airport is located.

2.In a closed business environment, the cost is high and the customer group is single.

Airports are often built on the edge of the city, far from the city, and many people compare the airport to a "business island". Because of the long distance, airport restaurants face high food procurement and transportation costs, labor costs, and restaurant decoration costs.

In addition, there is almost no pure natural traffic for shopping, leisure and entertainment at the airport, and all the traffic is a single and purposeful business traveler and other travelers, and the airport naturally forms a closed business environment. Except for those who need to travel, almost no one goes to the airport specifically for a meal.

In the customer group list. First, among the high-cost factors, in order to balance costs and benefits, "high prices" have naturally become the choice of airport catering.

The high price of catering at the airport is due to the national conditions, after the reform and opening up, passengers except for government workers. Most of them are business executives and individuals, basically no one cares too much about the price, after 90 years the market economy is small or familiar, the monopoly industry of state-owned enterprises began to use state-owned resources to make money, rent out the space at a high price, operators can only sell goods at a high price, in order to make it survive, although the National Development and Reform Commission, the Industrial and Commercial Bureau, the Price Bureau has repeatedly paid attention to and restricted this, but on paper, basically useless.

The more people need it most, and also in this scarcity situation caused by environmental factors, things are more expensive. Therefore, when it comes to serving the people, there may not be any people including me. All are equal, but some are more equal.
