Balcony remodeling bathroom legal provisions

The Code for the Design of Residential Buildings (GB50096-2011), which came into force in August 2012, states that "bathrooms should not be directly located on the upper floors of bedrooms, living rooms (halls), kitchens and dining rooms of residents on the lower floors." This provision is mandatory.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development's "Administrative Measures for Residential Interior Decoration" also clearly stipulates that "residential interior decoration activities, it is forbidden to change rooms or balconies without waterproof requirements into toilets and kitchens".

According to the "Administrative Measures for the Repair of Residential Interior Bai Decoration and Decoration": zhi

Article 5 Residential interior decoration and decoration activities, the following lines are prohibited for (2) changing rooms or balconies without waterproof requirements into bathrooms and kitchens;

As far as I know, there are no laws and regulations in this regard, as long as you do not destroy the basic structure of the house when you renovate, do a good job of waterproofing, and the pipeline direction is reasonable and does not affect the upper and lower floors and surrounding residents.

I don't think the balcony can be converted to the bathroom. There are legal provisions here.
